Her husband, Andrew Maynard also preceded her in death along with infant daughter, Iris Lynn Maynard, one sister, Iris Irvin, and one brother, Gordon Dean.Myrtle was a member of the Freedom Freewill Baptist Church in Kiahsville.She leaves behind two daughters, Mary Maynard and her fianc Kenneth Crum, and Millie Brooks and her husband Lige, all of Kiahsville; two sons, Jackie Maynard and his wife Freda and Joey Maynard and his wife Karen, all of Wayne, W.Va.; eight grandchildren, Andy, Matt, JoJo, Brody, and Brandi Maynard, Billy Ramey, and Justin and Jeremy Brooks; and three great-grandchildren, Jayden Ramey, and Rowen and Benton Maynard.Also surviving are five sisters, Phyllis Ferrell of Elizabethtown, Pa., B. Elaine Frost of Wheelersburg, Oh., Millie Ferrell and her husband Steve of McMinnville, Tenn., Sandra Kay Wriston and Kathryne Rosen, both of Ravenna, Oh. Although physically challenged since 1991 and battling numerous other health problems, his fighting spirit and pure love of life is unsurpassed and is inspiring to us all. He spent time betweenWest Virginia andOhio through the years until 2008. She was born February 19, 1986 in Huntington, W.Va. Shelly was a 2004 graduate of Wayne High School and a member of the 20th Street Baptist Church in Kenova. She was born March 22, 1933 in Summers County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Harry and Ida Foxx.
